AFC MELKSHAM have won the Chippenham and District Sunday Football League KO Cup with a 3-0 win over FC Devizes.
The club report “Having got to last year’s KO cup final and going down to Box Rovers 2-0 this victory was so much sweeter.
“Goals from Dan Broom, Seth Wain and Ryan Baggs won the game for AFC Melksham.
“A penalty save by Adam Dhimsa at 0-0 was the turning point on a hard fought great footballing game, played in front of a few hundred supporters at Seend on 16th May.
“A big thank you to Shurnhold Storage and Recycling and Melksham Tile and Bathroom Centre who have sponsored AFC in these difficult times.”
The win completes the team’s collection of top flight trophies, adding to their previous wins of the Premier Champions in 2016 & WGParr Trophy and promotions from division 4/3/ 2/1 to the Premier division.
