Three noticeboards made out of old pallets have been built and installed at the Berryfield allotments, thanks to the Melksham Shed group.
“The Royal Horticultural Society visited the Parish Council allotment sites at Berryfield last Summer and one of the things they recommended was the installation of some noticeboards for information sharing,” said Teresa Strange from Melksham Without Parish Council. “The Shed Project stepped up to the challenge, making three noticeboards out of pallets and then installed them.
“We have two allotment sites at Berryfield which covers 76 plots and they have put noticeboards up at both sites so that we can publish the rules, plot numbers, H&S poster plus allow allotment tenants to leave messages for each other for example, warning of potato blight or offering spare produce/seedlings.
“They are fantastic! Many thanks to the Shed Project volunteers!”
