MELKSHAM Community Area Partnership is holding a Dementia Friends information session at Atworth Village Hall on Saturday 7th May at 3pm.
The group says, “Everyone is welcome to attend the Atworth Dementia Friends session. During the friendly and interactive session, you will increase your understanding of dementia, and think about the small things that you can do to make a real difference to people affected by dementia in your community, whether people actually living with the condition, or people who are carers for those who live with it or indeed simply care about someone close to us. So that’s just about all of us, then.
“Karen Spence who lives in Melksham will give an honest and thought-provoking insight into what being a Dementia Friend really means and how effective just very small changes can be.”
