Beanacre & Melksham Cricket Club recently held a six a side competition and open day, at their Ground in The Park.
Eight teams entered, made up of club members, friends and family. The Cricket Club would like to thank Melksham Town Football Club who also entered a team. The aim of the day was to attract new members to the club, provide lots of family fun and raise much needed cash for the club. The event was well supported by the community with over 100 people watching at one point.
After several group games the final was played out between the club’s ‘Young Guns’ and a team from the Chippenham area. After a close fought game the Young Guns came out victorious.
Club chairman, Gary Burns presented the winning team with a trophy and a lovely novelty cake which was kindly donated by ‘Honeys’ in the Littlebrook Centre.
