Holt Dramatic Society will showcase its autumn production – ‘Bothered and Bewildered’ – next week directed by Alison Pryke who is making her directing debut.
The play will be staged in Holt Village Hall from Thursday 10th November until Saturday 12th November at 7.30pm.
The society’s Jill Siddall says, “Bothered and Bewildered is a poignant, comic drama which follows Irene and her two daughters, Louise and Beth, as they begin a long journey in which the women lose their mother in spirit but not in body. As her family struggle to come to terms with her Alzheimer’s disease, Irene’s past passion for romantic fiction blurs with reality.
“She discusses with her unseen and witty companion, Barbara Cartland, (Irene’s favourite and now deceased romantic novelist) how best to write her ‘memory book’, disclosing to Barbara long-kept secrets that she has never revealed to anyone else.”
Tickets are on sale at Holt Superstore and on www.holtdrama.co.uk
