BOWERHILL Primary School say their fete this year was a huge success after the sum of £4,300 was raised.
The event was opened by Bath’s Panto star Jon Monie and attracted over 1,100 people.
The fete had a World Cup theme this year with lots of games involving football such as a dribbling challenge, penalty shoot-out and hoop-shot game.
Following on from the success of last year, the school once again had popular attractions such as body zorbing, coconut shy, inflatable obstacle course and go-karting.
Tina Kimmitt from Bowerhill Primary School said, “It was a brilliant event! Over a thousand people came and we raised lots of money. The money raised will go to the school and will help to improve the class libraries and quiet areas, making them comfortable and inviting, to encourage all the kids to read. The PTA and school are thrilled with the amount raised!”
