RESIDENTS will be able to find out more about Wiltshire Council’s plans for Melksham House by visiting Melksham Library during the week beginning 5th July.
The designs for the historic building will be on display at the library during its opening hours, from 5th July to 9th July.
Members of Wiltshire Council’s project team will be on hand to answer any questions on Tuesday 6th July from 10am to 4pm.
Wiltshire Council say, “The plan is to renovate Melksham House as a multi-functional hub for the local community, while ensuring the building’s cultural and historical importance is maintained. A planning application is due to be submitted in July.
“The application will seek permission to convert the house into flexible workspace and the rear hall will be retained to provide multi-purpose activity/community space.
“A recent bid to the Government’s Levelling Up Fund could allow exploration of wider development opportunities. More information on that can be found at www.wiltshire.gov.uk/bid-levelling-up.”
