The Avon Bowls Club, based in the grounds of Melksham House is to host an Open Evening on Tuesday 12th May from 6.00pm.
Pauline Baker, on behalf of the Club said, “Anyone interested in learning more about this fascinating game is invited to come along on that evening, meet Club members, have a go at bowling and enjoy a sociable evening at the Club House.
“Please bring a pair of flat-soled shoes and the Club will provide the rest of the equipment. Remember this is a game for all ages, not just senior citizens! It can be a challenging game but all the more enjoyable for that, and of course, it is extremely good exercise and even though it is played on a flat surface – DO NOT BE FOOLED!
