Having been asked to bat BMCC2 were coasting along thanks to Steve Day (26) and Tim Carpenter (14) got them to 45 without loss after 10 overs.
The game then changed as J.Brown started to take wickets at regular intervals, reducing the visitors to 70/6 off 18 overs.
BMCC were indebted to Mark Mullis (66) which allowed the visitors to close on 149. Brown finishing with 6/35 off 9.1 overs. The host’s reply was built squarely around D.Thompson’s 70. He was 4th man out with 96 on the board. When he was dismissed the visitors sensed a victory but a 45 run unbroken 8th wicket partnership between A.Capper (14) and S.Triveldi (26) saw the hosts to their target.
