THE Pilot in Bowerhill has live music, bingo, poker and quiz nights, all coming up in the weeks ahead.
On Saturday 23rd April, from 9pm, Rorke’s Drift brings stadium rock to the Pilot! The band says, “Rorke’s Drift is a four-piece stadium rock covers band. Our set is bursting with many of the great stadium rock anthems from the past 50 years.
“We pride ourselves on putting on a high energy performance of “throw your arms around your mates (or strangers) and sing at the top of your voice” tunes in a set interlaced with cheesy one liners and banter.
“The show will put a smile on the most serious of faces. We will also throw a few curve balls into the set, so you’re never quite sure what song is coming next. If you are looking for a fun night out, rocking tunes, audience participation, then get yourselves along to one of our gigs.”
On Saturday 7th May, from 9pm, Rockport Blues will be performing rock and blues! They have been known to cover classics such as Walk Like A Man (Grand Funk Railroad), Devil Woman (Cliff Richard) and Sinner’s Prayer (Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa).
Regular weekly events at the Pilot include bingo every Monday, eyes down at 8pm; poker every Wednesday from 8pm; and a quiz night, every Thursday from 8.30pm.
