THIRTEEN year-old Abbie Dark has been announced as winner of this year’s competition to design the front page of the carnival programme.
15 entries were received for the competition which was organised by Andy York Photography. As well as having her design feature of the front page of the carnival programme, Abbie also received a framed copy of the design from Andy York Photography.
Abbie, who has previously been Carnival Princess, said, “I was very pleased when I found out that I had won.
“My design is the carnival royalty travelling in a car with people either side, including myself, waving.”
Judges were impressed with Abbie’s design and said it was the stand-out winner.
