The Cats Action Trust charity celebrated the retirement of long-standing treasurer Ann Frost on Thursday 21st June.
Ann joined Cats Action Trust in 1991 volunteering as a cat fosterer and over a period of 10 years, managed to rescue and successfully rehome 100 local cats. Ann went on to be elected treasurer, a position that she has held continuously and very conscientiously for three decades.
Trustee and general administrator, Karine Chevalier-Watts said, “Ann has been a core member of Cats Action Trust (N&W Wilts) since its very early days and has been fundamental in scrupulously looking after its finances and ensuring the longevity and prosperity of the charity. She has been one of the oldest volunteers of Cats Action Trust and has seen many volunteers come and go over the years but has steadfastly ensured the continuity and viability of the charity through very challenging economic periods.
“Cats Action Trust is very sad to be losing her as its loyal and committed treasurer but is wishing her a very happy and well-deserved retirement.”
Tracy McPhail, trustee and chair of Cats Action Trust, will be taking over as treasurer, assisted by Karine Chevalier-Watts, trustee and general administrator.
Karine said, “Cats Action Trust would like to thank the Milk Churn pub in Melksham for their wonderful welcome in hosting Ann’s retirement lunch as well as all its volunteers and supporters.”
