THE Forest Community Centre has a jam-packed schedule for the coming weeks and there’s something for everyone.
The Country and Western nights are very popular and draw a regular crowd, so why not pop down on Saturday 7th May and see what all the fuss is about.
They welcome country singer Darren Jones who will have you grapevining your way to the dance floor. There will also be the Country and Western disco, Lazy Boots, to get your feet tapping. Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets cost £6.
Showcase your talents at the Open Mic night on Thursday 12th May. Join in or listen to great local artists. Free entrance. Doors open 7.30pm.
Then on Saturday 21st May, the community centre hosts a charity football match in memory of Stephen ‘Wacker’ Wakefield. Afterwards, the FA Cup Final will be shown on their big screen. Food and drink available. Entrance by charity donation.
Be transported back to the 60s, 70s and 80s with Roger Dee’s Nostalgia Disco on Saturday 28th May. Tickets £4 each available from Roger or the centre. Over 16s only.
Another chance to perfect your grapevine on Saturday 4th June with fantastic country artist Chris James leading the way. And of course, the Country and Western Disco, Lazy Boots will be on hand to provide extra music. Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets cost £6.
