THERE’S an exciting line-up planned for the weeks ahead at Melksham’s Assembly Hall, with a roller disco, a night of mediumship, a Jubilee celebration to remember, and an Adele tribute act.
Frome Roller returns to the Assembly Hall on Sunday 15th May with two roller disco sessions – 2pm to 3.30pm; and 4pm to 5.30pm.
They say, “Join us for skating fun, games and great music, hosted by our volunteer marshal team who work hard so you can skate safely. Bring your own skates or borrow ours – hire skates and safety kit (strongly recommended!) are included in the ticket price.
“This is a skating session for all ages and abilities. Look forward to seeing you on eight wheels very soon!”
On Friday 20th May, the hall will host an evening of mediumship with Nikki Kitt. Organisers say, “Returning to the hall for an astonishing evening of spiritualism and mediumship, Nikki Kitt is one of the UK’s leading psychic mediums. Nikki aims to provide evidence of the afterlife as well as give comfort and peace of mind to audience members through links to departed loved ones, which she does with incredible accuracy and detail.
“Giving a level of insight into personalities and personal information unmatched by most other mediums, Nikki will provide you with confirmation, solace and an evening not easily forgotten.”
On Thursday 26th May, Neil Sands returns to the Assembly Hall with his Happy and Glorious show, celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee. Organisers say, “Join Neil Sands when he returns to the Hall once again, this time to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. A heart-warming afternoon of patriotic nostalgia culminating in Neil’s trademark flag-waving tribute to the veterans of the armed forces.”
On Saturday 28th May, the Assembly Hall plays host to Hometown Glory: A Tribute to Adele.
Organisers say, “Voted the best Adele tribute two years running at the National Tribute Music Awards, Natalie Black aka ‘Hometown Glory’ is bringing her breath-taking act to the Assembly Hall.
“Very few artists have had such an impact on popular music over the last decade as Adele, and Natalie has toured the world performing her music. Audiences are left spellbound by Natalie’s rich and soulful voice, replica costumes, and a natural likeness that will leave you wondering if you’ve seen the real thing!”
Also coming up in the months ahead is Boogie Wonderland ‘70s & ‘80s Disco Night on Thursday 2nd June and The Royal (Silent) Disco on Saturday 4th June, which are both part of the town’s Jubilee celebrations.
