IF you are looking for something to do this month, let Melksham Assembly Hall ‘entertain you.’
Coming up on Saturday 18th February, a Robbie Williams tribute act will rock the crowds, with the Robbie Williams Live at Knebworth show 20th anniversary tour, that will see performers recreate the ‘record-breaking’ concert that was performed over three days in August 2003.
Organisers said, “Our show will recreate the music and magic of Robbie’s biggest concert of his career, bringing the classic songs to life on stage, with full live band and dancers.”
On Thursday 23rd February, the town’s second quiz night will take place.
Organisers said, “Our Quiz Night returns for round two! £5 per team (up to five players), prizes for the winners. Round up your crew and come on down!”
The following night, on Friday 24th February, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas will be shown at the Assembly Hall film club.
Organisers said, “18 years since Hunter S. Thompson’s death, we celebrate his life with a screening of Terry Gilliam’s celebrated adaptation of the greatest of American novels.” The film follows an ‘oddball’ journalist and his ‘psychopathic’ lawyer who travel to Las Vegas for a series of psychedelic escapades.
Other events coming up at the Assembly Hall are: Friday 17th March, Giants of Rock – A hard-rockin’ double header with the outstanding Pure Jovi and the biggest GnR tribute in the world, The Guns N’ Roses Experience. Limited Early Bird tickets just £12.50 Thursday 23rd March, The History of Soul – A joyous, life-affirming celebration of soul music through the years performed by a truly exceptional 9-piece band. With the music of James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and more.
