MICHELLE Donelan MP held on to her seat in the general election on Thursday 8th May with a convincing victory.
Michelle Donelan MP, who has been the Conservative MP for the area since 2015, was re-elected for the Chippenham Constituency with 31,267 votes, giving her 54.7% of the total votes. An increase from 2015, which saw her win 47.6% of the overall vote.
“I am very grateful to have been re-elected to represent the Chippenham constituency once again,” said Michelle Donelan MP.
“Representing our community has been the most immense privilege over the past two years and I look forward to getting back to Parliament to continue work.”
The result in full was: Cons, Michelle Donelan, 31,267 (54.7); Lib Dems, Helen Belcher, 14,637 25.6); Labour, Andrew Newman, 11,236 (19.7).
