Residents in Melksham are invited to find out more about memory loss and dementia at a special roadshow event hosted by Wiltshire charity Alzheimer’s Support.
The dementia drop-in session will be held at the Forest Community Centre on Thursday 21st November from 11am to 1pm. Staff from the charity will be on hand to answer questions and offer information and advice to anyone concerned about their own memory or that of a relative.
Organiser Amy Wyatt said, “We’re really looking forward to meeting people from the area. Many people worry about memory loss and dementia, and sometimes just knowing a bit more can be incredibly helpful and reassuring.
“Whether you want information about the difference between normal ageing and dementia, advice on available support services, or help with setting up practical services for individuals, this event is an opportunity to connect with us face-to-face.
“All ages are welcome, including younger people who may simply want to learn more. While you can drop in on the day, please let us know if you plan to attend, so we can ensure we’re prepared.”
This project is one of several initiatives in Wiltshire funded by the Integrated Care Board, aimed at reducing health inequalities and improving access to better health for all.
To book your place, call 01225 776481 or email amyw@alzheimerswiltshire.org.uk. Alternatively, feel free to turn up on the day.
