Local accountancy firm Gooding Accounts has joined one of the UK’s fastest-growing accountancy and professional services groups, DJH.
It’s a move the company says will bring new opportunities for clients and staff while keeping its local Wiltshire roots firmly in place.
Founded in 2014 by Sam Gooding, the firm has built a strong reputation for supporting businesses across Wiltshire with a personal and proactive approach to accountancy.
Sam and Katy Gooding will continue to lead the team, and the business will carry on operating from its existing Wiltshire offices in Warminster, Melksham and Trowbridge. Clients will still be dealt with by the same team, offering the same outstanding service they have come to expect.
The partnership will, however, give the firm’s clients access to a wider range of specialist services, including estate planning, R&D tax credits, corporate finance, audit and wealth management.
Sam Gooding said, “This is an exciting next chapter for Gooding Accounts, but our foundations remain exactly the same. We have built something incredibly special here in Wiltshire, and I’m hugely proud of our team and the relationships we’ve built with our clients over the years.
“Katy and I are as committed as ever to our team, our clients and our community. We’re not moving away or changing who we are – we’re strengthening what we can offer. By joining DJH, we can combine the personal service and local knowledge our clients value with access to a much broader network of specialists and resources.”
The partnership will also enable the business to continue investing in the local community. The firm’s existing sponsorships, charitable support and commitment to Wiltshire organisations will continue as it enters this next phase of growth.
“Our connection to Wiltshire is incredibly important to us,” added Sam. “We’re proud to be part of this community and that won’t change. Our offices will remain here, our team will remain here, and we’ll continue supporting the local businesses, charities and organisations that make this area such a great place to live and work.”
DJH has more than 20 offices across the UK and Ireland and employs nearly 900 people. The group was attracted to Gooding Accounts because of its strong reputation, shared values and commitment to building long-term relationships with clients.
Scott Heath, Chief Executive Officer of DJH, said, “Gooding Accounts is exactly the type of practice we look to partner with – a successful, forward-thinking firm with a fantastic team and a genuine commitment to its clients and community.
“We are delighted to welcome Sam, Katy and the whole Gooding Accounts team to DJH. Our aim is to support their continued success while giving their clients access to the additional expertise, technology and resources that come with being part of a larger group.”
Sam added, “We’re incredibly excited about what the future holds. This is about building on everything we’ve achieved so far and creating even more opportunities for our clients, our team and the wider Wiltshire community.”
