The motorcyclist who died in the fatal road traffic collision on the A350 near Lacock on Sunday evening has been named as 54-year-old Andrew Angus Yeates from Devizes.
Wiltshire Police say, “The crash, between a Kawasaki motorbike and a Vauxhall Insignia car, happened at 10.20pm (Sunday 5th August 2018) at the junction with Melksham Road. The family of Mr Yeates, who was known as Angus, have released the following tribute:
“As a family we are all devastated to announce that Angus Yeates sadly died in a road traffic accident on his motorbike on Sunday 5th August at just 54 years old.
“He was such a kind, loving, generous man who would do anything for anyone. He lived for his family and motorbikes.
“He worked for FCC recycling centre in Stanton St Quintin and loved it (more so in the summer months).
“You will be missed so much by all who knew you, especially your loving mum Catherine, brother Tim, your children Luke and Kirsty, your three grandchildren and all the family.
“Forever in our hearts. #ridefree”
Wiltshire Police said, “We are continuing to investigate the collision and have appealed for any witnesses to get in touch.Did you witness the crash or see either of the vehicles before the collision happened?
