The final round of the A C U 250gp National and N G Cup championship was held at Oulton Park on Saturday 28th September.
Broughton Gifford’s Travis Vince competed at this event and after qualifying, was sixth fastest on his TZ 250cc Yamaha. Travis made a good start and in the early stages was in a wheel-to-wheel dice with Andy Davies for fifth and sixth places. Despite some machine problems, Vince managed to stay ahead of Davies and crossed the line in fifth place and won the N G Cup class.
Vince also set the fastest lap of the race in the N G Cup class in a time of 1 minute 57.32 seconds and a speed of 82.60 mph.
This was the fifth N G Cup victory of the season and he finished in fourth place in the N G Cup Championship and just one point behind third placed Malcolm Howell.
