The former Unicorn Pub on Bath Road is back up for sale after failing to sell at auction in December last year.
In March 2023, the property made headlines after police discovered a cannabis factory on the premises following reports of a suspected burglary. Authorities found more than 200 cannabis plants growing inside the building.
The Grade II listed building, which previously housed the Unicorn Restaurant, has remained vacant since the business relocated.
The property is now on the market with a guide price of £222,000.
The former restaurant and kitchen have been removed for conversion into a function room and extended drinking area. On the ground floor there is a function room; on the first floor, residential space comprising a private kitchen, bathroom, living room and two bedrooms; and on the second floor, two storage rooms.
On the Rightmove website, the owners stated the reason for the sale, “The pub requires more building labour than we have available to complete the work to a desirable standard. In addition, it is too far from the company’s base to efficiently supervise.”
