AFTER four years of trying, four year-old Austin Newman was crowned ‘Bonniest Baby’ at this year’s Carnival and Family Fun Day.
Austin saw off fierce competition to lift the trophy and was delighted to hear his name called out by the judges.
Austin’s mum, Michelle Brightwell said, “He is still so proud and answers to the name ‘King Baby’ since winning.
“He has entered since 2013 but has never won and as this was his last chance to enter, he was determined to impress the judges. He told a few jokes and spoke about his preschool graduation the day before.
“He loves Melksham Carnival and is hoping there is a ‘Royal Dinosaur’ category next year so he can enter!”
