LAST month, friends Gracie and Alex, both 10 years old, pledged to hand out 50 gift bags to the homeless; on Thursday 19th December, they completed their challenge.
Gracie Vince and Alex Burke, both 10 years old who go by their nicknames Greg and Al, wanted to give back to the homeless people in the area by giving them a bag full of necessities and gifts.
They had donation stations located around the area including The Foresters Arms, Melksham and various locations in Bromham, where the girls live.
On Thursday 19th December, the girls visited Doorway in Chippenham to hand over the 50 gift bags full of donations including hats, scarfs, blankets, socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste as well as clothes and sleeping bags.
Doorway is a charity drop-in centre for those who are homeless, sofa surfing or who have complex issues.
