Are you shy? Do you feel that you have lost the courage to go out and meet new people?
Perhaps you would like to apply for the job of your dreams and do not have the courage? Are others at work doing presentations and because you cannot do so, you are not being given the opportunities that you deserve?
Members of Melksham Speakers Club are finding that being an active member of the club, gives them the courage to get out there and do things that they did not think were possible.
Sheila Jackson of the club explains, “To get up and speak is not as fearful as you think and those who do it find that this builds their confidence in all walks of life, not just doing presentations at work or saying a few well chosen words at a special occasion.
“They find that they will go for the job that seems unattainable or take on the unusual challenge that they have been looking at and wishing they could do it. Wishing achieves nothing, but doing does.
“Find that courage and become an active member of Melksham Speakers Club. We meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at the Rachel Fowler Centre, Market Place, Melksham at 7.30pm. Just turn up and there will be a warm welcome for you.”
