MELKSHAM Library is taking part in HI-VIS fortnight, promoting access to libraries for people with visual impairment and the community are invited to learn more about what’s on offer.
Throughout the fortnight, which runs until 14th June, those who are visually impaired are being encouraged to find out more about the large print books, CD audiobooks, ‘Playaway’ audiobook MP3 players, free eAudio downloads, the visually impaired membership and to make use of the public computers have software to assist visually impaired users.
On Friday 16th June, those with visual impairment are invited to attend an open session at 3:00 p.m. to celebrate Hi-VIS fortnight in Wiltshire Libraries.
Organisers said, “The group meets via conference call so you can join in from anywhere in Wiltshire. Basil from Trowbridge Library who facilitates the group will explain how regular sessions work, including using the RNIB Library to get audiobooks. At this session, you will also get to chat with other group members, and everyone will be given the chance to recommend recent audiobooks you have enjoyed!”
