UNDER new management, the Whitley Cricket Club, formerly Golden Fleece Cricket Club is encouraging players old and new to pick up their bat and ball and get back into sport.
The club is hosting coaching and net sessions at Melksham Oak Community School every Sunday in March from 6pm to 7pm. The fee is £3 per session.
Ian McCaughan, chairman of Whitley CC said, “This year under my chairmanship we have changed the name to Whitley CC to make it more of a village and community team. The time has come again when we are looking for players, ex-players, new comers and anyone else who would like to have some net sessions.
“Our season starts on Thursday 18th April and we have many fixtures booked in throughout the summer for both weekday 20 over cricket and some weekend 40 over games.”
