MELKSHAM Guides donated food and recipes to the local food bank in December.
The girls designed and cooked recipes that could all be made from non-perishable food that the foodbank receives in donations.
Recipes included bean chilli, fish cakes, corned beef hash and potato and mushroom curry.
The Guides then donated the ingredients for the meals they made, alongside some other items.
Unit leader Rachel Weeks said, “In all, the donations made 20 meal bags.
“The patrols enjoyed tasting the meals that they made and commented on how yummy they were!
“The Guides were interested in hearing more about the work of the food bank when the donations were collected by the Melksham Food Bank at the last meeting of the term. The food bank volunteers expressed their gratitude for all the food and meal bags the Guides had donated.”
