MELKSHAM’S Rainbow Day Centre celebrated Burns Night at the Riverside Club last month with bagpipes and haggis.
The group’s Philip Toop reports, “After a successful Christmas party at the Riverside Club the Rainbow Day Centre’s celebrations continued in January as we commemorated Burns Night with the traditional meal of haggis, neeps, tatties and green beans, followed by the very tasty Cranachan for dessert.
“We didn’t have a piper but we did have traditional Scottish bagpipes on CD and it was a lovely addition to our normal activities and time for members to socialise with one another.
“We are always pleased to welcome new members and we currently have a few vacancies if anyone would like to join us for a fun time on Mondays and/or Fridays.”
To find out more call organiser Lisa Reece on 07799 511931 or visit the Riverside Club on a Monday or Friday 9.30am to 2.30pm.
