In the lead up to the Picnic in the Park for the Queen’s Birthday, the Bloom in Melksham Group is hosting a treasure hunt throughout Melksham.
There are many streets in Melksham with horticultural names – flowers or trees – and on each street will be one house displaying a knitted red rose in the window. The roses are beautifully handmade by the Crazy about Knitting Club.
Pick up an entry form at the Town Hall, Assembly Hall or Tourist Information Centre for 50p, and see if you can find all the roses!
The Treasure Hunt will run from 20 May to 7 June and two prizes of hanging baskets made by Bruce Petty (multi award winner in Melksham in Bloom) will be awarded at the Picnic in the Park for the Queen’s Birthday on Sunday 12 June.
