VOLUNTARY groups and organisations are to be asked to get involved in the town council’s planned community hub, which will be in the former ArtHouse cafe in Melksham Market Place.
Councillors who have formed a working group to bring the venture to the town, described it as a one-stop shop of information for the whole community. At this stage, they are asking groups for their ideas and input.
Cllr Adrienne Westbrook said at last month’s town council community development committee meeting, that she also wanted Melksham Without Parish Council to be involved. “It will be going out for the whole of Melksham and beyond,” she said. “It will be not just be for the town, but will be for the whole area.”
Councillors suggested holding a meeting on zoom, which anyone interested could take part in. To find out more details about the community hub, contact Melksham Town Council.
