MEADS of Melksham donated £400 worth of Christmas presents to children at Bath RUH last month following a Facebook competition.
Meads of Melksham are known on social media for their competitions where customers win prizes such as cars, vouchers and tickets.
However, last month staff at the garage started a Facebook giveaway campaign to give presents to children who would be spending their Christmas in hospital.
For every person that liked, shared and commented on the competition post, Meads of Melksham put £1 towards buying the presents.
The post received 231 likes overall, but the garage decided to spend £400 on toys and wrapping paper. They hand delivered the presents to nurses at the hospital who thanked the company for their generosity.
Georgee Mead at Meads of Melksham added, “On Boxing Day we received a message from a local mum to say that her son had been rushed to hospital on Christmas Eve and had received one of our presents!”
