WILTSHIRE Air Ambulance’s newest challenge event, It’s A Knockout, arrives in Melksham next week, and the community is being encouraged to come along and cheer on the competitors!
Based on the famous TV show of the same name, 20 teams will take part in eight games in total. And each activity comes with its own unique twist, including props, costumes and inflatables – ensuring plenty of laughter and entertainment.
The event will be held on Sunday 8th May at Melksham Rugby and Football Club on Eastern Way, from 11am. The winners of the competition will be crowned around 3pm.
For spectators, entrance is free – there will be a stall manned by air ambulance volunteers and Melksham Rugby Club will have food/drinks/ snacks for sale. The charity is advising spectators to bring their own chairs/picnic blankets, as seating will be limited.
The event has been organised to raise money for the local charity, which needs to raise £4million a year to continue saving lives, the equivalent of around £11,000 day. The charity receives no regular direct Government funding or National Lottery grants, so relies solely on the generosity of the public and local businesses.
