A NEW wellness and beauty room aims to help you leave your stress at the door and enjoy a wide variety of treatments in a calm, relaxed environment.
Serenity Wellness and Beauty will take care of you from head to toe, focusing on massage, facials and nails, to help you feel relaxed and pampered both inside and out.
The business is owned by Jayne Hurd, a retired police detective, who has opened the wellness and beauty room after training in a variety of different treatments since 2006.
Jayne said, “The space has been transformed into a place where you can stop the wheel of time for a brief moment to invest in yourself, to rejuvenate, revitalize, relax and recover because when you feel good about yourself, everything else around you feels good too.
“It’s completely chill. I want customers to leave the stress at the door and for me to be able to give my customer 100% of my time and attention so they can get everything they can out of their treatment.”
Jayne offers a variety of massages from Swedish, to Thai, from foot to deep tissue, hot stones to Indian head, as well as facials and nails.
“In the future I hope to involve more therapists in order to give customers a full wellness programme regardless of age. I hope to bring in holistic treatments such as Reiki, reflexology, sports massage, physiotherapy and chiropody.”
Since opening, Jayne has been receiving positive feedback from customers who admire the calm space and treatments.
“I feel really positive because of the feedback,” Jayne continued. “It’s boosted my confidence. I have confidence in my ability to bring really lovely treatments. It’s scary taking a big step to do it yourself but I’ve had a lot of support from friends and my two daughters helping me put the room together and kick-start the business.”
In homage to her background in the police force, Jayne is offering a permanent 10% discount for those who work in the emergency services, as well as a permanent 10% discount for current members of Slimming World.
Jayne said, “I know how hard those who are on Slimming World work to meet targets and lose weight. A massage can really aid weight loss, but also help them to boost their moral.”
Jayne is also offering 10% off your first treatment and a loyalty scheme of 5 treatments, get the 6th free. There are also vouchers available that would make a perfect gift for someone special this Christmas.
Plus a monthly raffle will be drawn, with the chance of winning a pamper party for six, worth £120. Each time you have a treatment, you will be given a raffle ticket and there will be one lucky winner each month.
The pamper party will be an evening for you and five guests to learn the basics of how to do facials as well as talking through the products, enjoying a glass of prosecco and light refreshments.
The cost of the pamper party will then be donated to charity, with Jayne choosing both People Against Poverty and Wiltshire Air Ambulance. Pamper parties are also available to purchase and would make a great gift.
