There will be a special service of Stations of the Cross at St Anthony’s Church on Friday February 24th at 6.00pm.
This service is being held to pray for the people of Ukraine on the anniversary of the invasion. All are welcome to the service and to join the congregation for light refreshments.
The church will also be open from 9.30am to 11.30am for private prayer. On Fridays 10th, 17th 24th and 31st of March services of the Stations of the Cross will also be held at 11.00am followed by a Lent lunch.
The donations given for lunch will go to CAFOD for the disaster fund for Turkey and Syria. On March 3rd the congregation of St Anthony’s will join other churches celebrating the World Day of Prayer (formerly the Women’s World Day of Prayer).
This service will be held at the Baptist Church, Broughton Road at 10.30am. This service has been devised by the women of Taiwan. All are welcome to these services.
