AFTER discovering a love of motorbike racing less than a year a go, the future is looking bright for local man, Mark Birkett.
After a weekend of racing at Thruxton, Mark now sits in 7th place in the championship with just two more weekend races to go.
Mark said, “It was an eventful weekend in so many ways. With the blistering sunshine on Saturday, racing was fast and furious.
“I had a poor qualifying race but a good start in the championship race and a great battle with a faster R6, my old cbr just nipping past at the flag after swapping places several times during the race.
“Sunday’s race saw the heavens open so it was a very wet race! Again it was great racing and yet again great battle and some more championship points.
“The aim is for a top 10 finish in my first season and with the help of my sponsors, this is looking possible.
“Again big thanks to skippers Pet Products, John Miller Garden Machinery and Babestation for the help and sponsorship.”
