MELKSHAM Assembly Hall is showing the latest movies fresh out of the cinema this month to make your week that little bit better.
Thomas Hardy’s Classic, Far From the Madding Crowd, will be shown on Friday 10th July at 7.30pm. In Victorian England, the independent and headstrong Bathsheba Everdene attracts three very different suitors; Gabrial Oak, a sheep farmer, Frank Troy, a reckless Sergeant and William Boldwood, a prosperous and mature bachelor. It stars Carey Mulligan, Matthais Schoenaerts and Michael Sheen.
The recent adaptation of Disney’s classic Cinderella will be shown on Saturday 11th July, 10.30am. When her father unexpectedly passes away, young Ella finds herself at the mercy of her cruel stepmother and her daughters. Never one to give up hope, Ella’s fortunes begin to change after meeting a dashing stranger.
On Friday 17th July, 7.30pm, come and see A Royal Night Out. On V.E. Day in 1945, as peace extends across Europe, Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret are allowed out to join the celebrations. It is a night full of excitement, danger and the first flutters of romance.
For a mid-week treat, come and watch Age of Adeline staring Blake Lively and Harrison Ford on Thursday 23rd, 7.30pm. A young woman, born at the turn of the 20th century, is rendered ageless after an accident. After many solitary years, she meets a man who complicates the eternal life she has settled into.
