MELKSHAM Assembly Hall is set to show more live entertainment and blockbuster films on its very own big screen.

Assembly hall also has an upcoming live screening of Medea from the National Theatre Live on Thursday 4th September with doors opening at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Tickets cost £10.
For all cinema showings tickets at 10.00am are £3 for under 15s and £4 for adults. All tickets from 5.00pm are £6 each. Doors open 30 minutes before the show and there is a licensed bar, tea and coffees.
Synopsis:
Chef (15): Chef Carl Casper (Jon Favreau) suddenly quits his job at a prominent Los Angeles restaurant after refusing to compromise his creative integrity for its controlling owner (Dustin Hoffman), he is left to figure out what’s next. Finding himself in Miami, he teams up with his ex-wife (Sofia Vergara), his friend (John Leguizamo) and his son to launch a food truck.
How to train your Dragon 2 (PG): Set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons, and based on the book by Cressida Cowell, the action comedy tells the story of Hiccup, a Viking teenager who doesn’t exactly fit in with his tribe’s longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. Hiccup’s world is turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges he and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view.

Medea (Live Screening) (15): Helen McCrory (The Last of the Haussmans) returns to the National Theatre to take the title role in Euripides’ powerful tragedy, in a new version by Ben Power, directed by Carrie Cracknell.
Medea is a wife and a mother. For the sake of her husband, Jason, she’s left her home and borne two sons in exile. But when he abandons his family for a new life, Medea faces banishment and separation from her children. Cornered, she begs for one day’s grace.
