STAFF at Shaw and Whitley Pre-School have been given a cheque for £375 from a Melksham estate agents.
Nigel Fitzgerald managing director of estate agents Lock and Key, presented chair of the pre-school, Lesley Adam with the cheque.
Lock and Key has been raising money for many local schools in the area. If it sells a house for someone who is linked to the school, Lock and Key donate 10% of the commission towards the school.
Lesley Adam said, “It is absolutely brilliant to receive this money and it will make a big difference. We will use it to fund new brochures and welcome packs for the pre-school, so we will be more professional. We run as a charity and funding is tight, so we have to think carefully about what we spend our money on. It can be a real struggle, so we are very grateful for this donation from Lock and Key.”
Nigel said, “I do a lot of initiatives for clubs, charities and local schools and enjoy working with them on various fundraising schemes. The fundraising for local schools is something I’ve always done.
“Hopefully more people will take up our offer so we can support our local community.”
