THE family of the late Michelle Phillips paid a visit to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance last month to mark reaching the £15,000 fundraising mark for the charity.
The family has been fundraising for the charity since April 2004 in memory of their daughter Michelle who was tragically killed in a car accident in Devon, when she was aged 26.
Earlier this year, Michelle’s father, John, took part in the Big Wheel Cycle Ride. On Michelle’s bike, John cycled the 12th mile of the ride in her memory. One of Michelle’s brothers, Darren, also showed his support by cycling alongside John.
Including donations given to Michelle’s mother, Sandra, for her 70th birthday, the family raised £275, taking their running total since 2004 to £15,678.61.
Sandra said, “I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us, especially over the past 13 years since losing our lovely Michelle, as all this helps us get through each day without her now.”
