SEEND Primary School pupils impressed in the finals of the Wiltshire Schools’ swimming gala at Marlborough College, coming home bronze medallists.
After winning the first two rounds of the swimming gala against Melksham schools and West Wiltshire schools, the team qualified for the Wiltshire Schools’ final on Wednesday 5th July.
The Seend Primary School team competed against eight other teams from across Wiltshire. To say we are proud, is an understatement,” said headteacher Jackie Chalk. “We had to have a couple of extra children in the squad as we did not have the minimum number required and two year 4 boys (it was a year 5 and 6 event), stepped up. In fact we only had two year 6 children in the whole team, so considering we were against older children, I think we did rather well.”
