AFTER 15 years at the club, Luke Ballinger has called it a day at Melksham Town FC.
The popular versatile player, who has also served the club as assistant manager and player-coach, has decided to leave the club due to work commitments.
The club has praised the popular player thanking him for his “outstanding services” and have wished him the very best.
Manager, Richard Fey said, “From day one, Luke has been brilliant for me personally and for the football club. He has always stood by the club through thick and thin.
“Unfortunately, at 33 years old and with his partner expecting a baby soon, Luke can’t commit to Southern League football and has decided to concentrate on his business and we have to respect him for that.
“I’ll forever be grateful for his help and myself and the club wish him every success moving forward.”
Chairman, Darren Perrin added, “I would like to personally thank Luke for his contribution whilst at Melksham and I would like to wish him all the very best going forward.”
