Melksham Comic-Con’s next fundraiser is really creating a buzz throughout the town as word is beginning to spread about their special guests – world-renowned inventor Howard Stark and Captain America.
On Saturday 27th May, Melksham will be going back in time and playing host to the 1943 Stark Expo World Tour.
Hayley Spencer, director of Melksham Comic-Con says, “Come back to wartime Britain, and join us in celebrating America joining the allies in winning the War.
“Dance the night away with live music from the era, try the specially themed cocktails, and above all else, meet the famous Captain America.
“We are also very lucky to have world-renowned inventor Howard Stark supporting our troops, and bringing along with him an exhibit of incredible technology that you’ll be able to see and marvel at, from the latest military weaponry, to how homes of the future will be powered.
“Be careful though, as careless talk costs lives. There have been suspicions of a mole in the ranks of Stark Industries, so if you see something, say something.
“Support the war effort by donating to our charity raffle on the night by buying War Bonds – all the money we raise will go to the Bath RUH NICU.
“Tickets are £20, available from Melksham Assembly Hall, The Roundhouse on Church Street, or by contacting the Melksham Comic-Con team on Facebook. This is an exclusive event for only 150 ticket holders, so don’t miss out – you can’t pay on the door.”
