Melksham’s much-loved Makers’ Market is back for 2025, with the first event of the year taking place on Saturday 26th April from 9am to 2pm in the Melksham Market Place.
Now a staple of the local calendar, the Makers’ Market showcases a brilliant mix of local crafters, artists, bakers and small businesses.
Organised by a small team of passionate makers, the market has grown steadily since it began, and this year welcomes an extra pair of hands in the form of Catherine from Sunflower Macrame, who joins the team to help bring even more creativity and energy to the monthly event.
A number of popular traders are returning for the first market of the season, including Roc & Floss Coffee, recently named Melksham’s Business of the Year! Joining them will be delicious sweet treats from Sandridge Brownies & Bakes, natural skincare and wellness products from The Holistic Mummy, and luxurious handmade bath and body treats from Mamma Thea.
New for 2025 is the pop-up garden in the Market Place; the perfect spot for visitors to sit and enjoy a coffee, catch up with friends, or tuck into something tasty from one of the food stalls. With a welcoming atmosphere and a growing community of makers and shoppers, the market offers a relaxed and friendly place to browse and buy local.
The Makers’ Market will be held on the last Saturday of the month from April to September (excluding August), with the following dates confirmed for 2025 – 26th April, 31st May, 28th June, 26th July, and 27th September – all taking place outdoors in the Melksham Market Place from 9am to 2pm.
To round off the year, the Christmas edition of the market will take place on Saturday 29th November at the Melksham Assembly Hall, from 10am – 2pm, the perfect place to shop small and festive!
“With returning favourites and new faces joining each month, the Melksham Makers’ Market continues to be a brilliant celebration of local talent and creativity,” say the organisers.
