Melksham Music and Drama (MMAD) will be celebrating 50 years of entertaining audiences in Melksham this year.
To mark the occasion, MMAD will be putting on a popular musical, Cinderella, in September at The Assembly Hall, dates to be announced.
“Performing established musicals costs a lot of money to perform but we want to celebrate our anniversary in style, so will be fund raising to put on an extravaganza,” said Ali Turrell who will be directing the anniversary show.
“To kick start the fundraising, we hosted a concert on Saturday 20th October, raising £700. The guest performers were Upfront and Casual, a group of young men who specialise in singing harmonies to a range of genres and eras.
“We are hoping that current and previous members of the group will look to support the fundraising so we can put on the best show possible!”
Also, this year’s pantomime is ‘Romeo and Juliet, The Panto’ showing on 8th, 9th, 14th, 15th and 16th February 2019. Evening performances start at 7:30pm with matinees on both Saturday starting at 2:30pm.
Tickets are £8 for adults, £6 for concessions available from TicketSource.
