THIS year’s Spot the Oddity winners have been announced with Andy York handing out the prizes.
The competition was held throughout July and required entrants to spot oddities in the windows of Melksham’s shops. A winner and runner-up was announced in four different age categories.
One of the organisers, Beth Dark said, “It has been a fantastic competition with some really good entries. We were very impressed with those that scored so highly as we had around 80 shops taking part. It’s good to bring the community into the town centre for a bit of fun and we are very thankful for everyone that took part and to the businesses that supported us.”
The winners were as follows:-
Eight and under category: 1st, Grace Povey. Runner-up, Boo Fairley. Age 9-12 category: 1st, Ansell brothers. Runner-up, Charlie, Louis and Maisie Adams. Age 13-17 category: 1st, Jamie Pugsley. Runner-up, Lauren Fairley. Age 18 plus category: 1st, Patricia Gash. Runner-up, Kerry Coombs.
