After the poor performance and disappointing result at the Conigre previously the Town bounced back with a victory.
Melksham pressure was rewarded on 38 minutes when after Ridout’s cross was partially cleared Dan Kovacs slammed home the loose ball to put Melksham 1-0 up and the Town reached the interval 1-0 to the good.
Only minutes into the second half home keeper Tom Drewitt who managed to tip a seemingly goal bound effort onto the bar stopping an equaliser. On 55 minutes the Town went 2-0 ahead when Bennet headed a Thomson corner back into the box where Kovacs swivelled and turned the ball into the net. However the visitors efforts were rewarded on 75 minutes when they deservedly pulled a goal back before on 82 minutes Kovacs was unceremoniously bundled to the floor leaving the ref no option other than to award a penalty.
Kovacs calmly slotted home the penalty to notch his hat trick and secure a 3-1 victory for Melksham.
