MELKSHAM Town FC now know their next FA Vase opponents after seeing off Hellanic Premier Division high-flyers Highmoor Ibis on Saturday.
Town now face fellow Western Premier Division side Slimbridge in the second round proper of the national competition.
The tie with Slimbridge will take place on Saturday 22nd November with a 3pm kick-off. The two sides have already met at the Conigre this season with the Gloucestershire outfit winning 3-0. However, since then Melksham have enjoyed some fine form and sit at the summit of the division.
Town’s best ever FA Vase performance came in the 2007-08 season when they got to the third round before losing at home to Truro City. A record they had equalled on four other occasions.
