Melksham United Church will be holding its Spring Fayre on Saturday 7th May from 10am to 12noon
Margaret Henry said, “Our Spring Fayre is one of the successful social and fund-raising events we have in the year, and we hope we shall have another fun time.
“All the popular stalls will be there; cakes, books, greeting cards, preserves and jewellery. We will have a toy and book stall and an activity table for the children, and if the weather is clement there will be a plant stall outside at the front of the church.
“This year we are introducing two new stalls ‘good as new’ and ‘tools’. The good as new stall is for those unwanted gifts that were accumulated at birthdays and Christmas. We know you will find something there to give a home to! The tool stall is really aimed at the gentlemen, although ladies these days undertake gardening and do-it-yourself jobs too.
“We hope to have a variety of tools available for use in the garage, the house and the garden.
“There will be a raffle and refreshments provided, tea/coffee and biscuits £1, and no entry fee. All proceeds to our development fund. Do come along with your friends and enjoy the morning with us.”
