THE town’s music and drama group recently performed Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at The Melksham Assembly Hall.
“Melksham Music and Drama did four performances with amazing audiences and for the first time, with a live orchestra; we had a fantastic run of shows,” says producer, Geoff Mitcham.
“It was a wonderful experience for the cast and crew and a show we’d wanted to perform for a long time but even though we were originally given the licence during 2019, because of Covid, we couldn’t perform it until this year and we were very lucky to get a second crack at it.
“We’d like to thank all those who came to see it and gave us such great reviews on social media. We still have some programmes left if anyone wants one as a souvenir. Hopefully we can do another similar show in the future, but it’ll be difficult to top this one.”
Their next main show is the pantomime Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs at the Rachel Fowler Centre on 15th, 16th 17th, 23rd and 24th February which includes two matinees. Tickets are £8 and £6 from the usual sources. Watch out for the posters.
