West Wilts Model Car Club raised £330 at a charity race day at Melksham Assembly Hall recently.
Karen Potter said, “31 drivers participated racing radio controlled touring Cars, minis and touring trucks. The race fees and raffle money were donated to Cheltenham Hospital Trust to buy purpose-built adjustable chairs for their chemotherapy unit. Thank you to all the drivers who participated.”
The money was raised to add to a fundraising campaign set up by Julie Rowsell – donations can be made by searching Julie’s name at www.virginmoneygiving.com.
To find out more about the club visit them on a Monday night at The Assembly Hall from 7pm, or call Karen on 07789 257613.
